A.C.T. Camp Cancelled for 2020

[Monday, June 29, 2020]  The sponsoring churches for A.C.T. Camp, Maranatha Baptist (Charleston) and Mt. Pleasant Baptist (Elkview) decided to cancel A.C.T. Camp – Teen Week for this year.  Teen Weed of camp was set to begin on Monday, July 20.  The Junior Week of camp had already been canceled.  Although the date had been pushed to a later time and the location changed so as to better accommodate the covid virus restrictions, the decision to cancel is based on the most recent status and concerns about the virus.

We look forward to resuming a full Camp Ministry next year as the Lord allows.

A.C.T. Camp

A.C.T. Camp is designed to meet the needs of teens physically, socially, and, most importantly, spiritually. Every camper is actively involved with sports, skits, games, Bible study, new friendships and “boatloads” of FUN! Our schedule is packed full of activities, such as canoeing, swimming, softball, ring tennis, basketball, and flag football. Then there are unique games that you only get to play at camp. You will laugh yourself silly at the games, skits, gags, and stunts. Excellent food is served at each meal. Enriching activities include: interesting classes, cabin devotions, music, Bible memory, camp fire, and morning chapel. Each day wraps up with a great preaching service. It will be held this year at the Pleasant Island Camp. It will be on July 20th-24th.
